From a historic 150th anniversary celebration in Bangkok to landmark rebrandings, new international openings, and innovative dining concepts, the brand’s evolution reflects both its storied heritage and its forward-looking vision.
150TH ANNIVERSARY – MANDARIN ORIENTAL, BANGKOK
In 2026, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok will celebrate 150 years as Thailand’s first luxury hotel under the theme Unfolding Legacies. Recently named the World’s Best Hotel by The Daily Telegraph (2024), awarded Three MICHELIN Keys, and recognised in La Liste 2025, the property continues to stand as a global icon of refined hospitality.
From November 2025 through March 2027, a thoughtfully curated programme of immersive experiences will honour the pioneers who shaped the hotel’s past, celebrate the leaders defining its present, and inspire future generations to carry its legacy forward.
Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam
REBRANDING – MANDARIN ORIENTAL CONSERVATORIUM, AMSTERDAM
On 14 January 2026, the Conservatorium Hotel officially transitions to Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam. Situated in the city’s prestigious Museum Quarter, the property has been a destination for luxury, design, and cultural connection since 2011.
A phased enhancement programme will introduce a refreshed lounge concept with a renewed emphasis on afternoon tea, followed by upgrades to guest accommodations beginning with the Deluxe Rooms. The 1,000-square-metre Akasha Spa — the largest hotel spa in Amsterdam — will continue to operate, offering a comprehensive wellness experience.
Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast
REBRANDING – MANDARIN ORIENTAL, DESARU COAST
Formerly known as The Sirēya Desaru Coast, the resort embarks on a new chapter as Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast, located along Malaysia’s scenic Johor coastline.
Set across 128 acres of rainforest and beachfront, the resort features spacious suites with private plunge pools, a four-bedroom pool villa, a vibrant beach club, Malaysian-inspired dining, and a holistic spa offering personalised therapies. Guests may also enjoy nature trails, water sports, golf, tennis, and curated cultural experiences, creating a seamless blend of relaxation and exploration.
Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca
NEW OPENING – MANDARIN ORIENTAL PUNTA NEGRA, MALLORCA
Opening in spring 2026, Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca will introduce a refined Mediterranean retreat framed by panoramic sea views and two secluded coves.
The resort will offer 131 rooms and suites, including private casitas, plunge-pool accommodations, and rooftop suites with private pools. Wellness facilities will include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fully equipped fitness centre, and expansive heat and water experiences designed to promote holistic wellbeing.
Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina
NEW OPENING – MANDARIN ORIENTAL CRISTALLO, CORTINA
Following extensive renovation, Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina is set to open in winter 2026 as the Group’s first alpine resort.
Perched above Cortina d’Ampezzo in the Dolomites, the historic property will offer year-round experiences, from world-class skiing in winter to hiking and golf in the warmer months. Designed with families and outdoor enthusiasts in mind, the resort provides access to one of Europe’s most renowned and reliable winter sports destinations.
Mandarin Oriental, The Landmark, Hong Kong
INNOVATION – MANDARIN ORIENTAL THE LANDMARK, HONG KONG
In 2026, Mandarin Oriental, The Landmark, Hong Kong will unveil new dining concepts on its seventh floor. Enhancements will include developments to Amber, an immersive wine cellar experience, and the introduction of a Champagne-focused bar, further elevating the hotel’s culinary distinction.

2025 OPENINGS
Mandarin Oriental, Vienna opened in December 2025 in the city’s historic First District, featuring 86 rooms, 52 suites, and a distinctive dining experience led by Chef Thomas Seifried.
Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai opened in November 2025, offering 259 guestrooms, 224 residences, extensive wellness facilities, and a rooftop helipad — marking the Group’s second property in the city.
