Albany in The Bahamas is a private oceanside resort community that offers seasonal programming for families during the December holidays. The community hosts structured activities for children and adults alike, providing opportunities for creative, recreational, and educational experiences in a coastal setting.
Each December, Albany transforms into a seasonal environment with structured programs and daily activities for children and families. Festive Camp is available for children ages 4–10, offering themed daily activities such as Winter Wonderland adventures, STEM workshops, yoga and fitness sessions, and craft projects including ornament making, Christmas stockings, and gift wrapping. Small group sizes and trained activity leaders provide guidance and supervision.
In addition to camp, the resort hosts daily family-friendly activities. These include scavenger hunts, carnival games, magic workshops, gingerbread house construction, and other interactive challenges. Evening programs feature seasonal traditions such as live caroling, holiday film screenings, and story time with Santa.
Albany is also introducing Purple Dragon, a multi-award-winning family club from London, which will span five acres. Phase I will convert the Sports Pavilion into a multi-generational activity space with interactive digital sports and motion-based gaming. Phase II, scheduled for summer 2026, will expand the facilities to include dedicated areas for art, cooking, STEM, music, and movement, along with a library, ice cream parlour, and social spaces.
Future children’s programming includes Discovery Camps for ages 4–8, focusing on art, movement, STEM, music, and sports, and Passion Pursuits for ages 9–14, featuring music, fashion, and athletic programs such as Singer Songwriter Camps, Battle of the Bands, Style Lab Fashion Camp, Basketball Academy, and Soccer Clinics.
Seasonal celebrations culminate on New Year’s Eve with two separate events: a family-oriented Rock ’n Glow party and an adults-only beach event themed Studio 80. Albany’s programming provides a structured environment for family engagement, recreational activities, and creative exploration during the holiday season.
