WHAT MAKES ALBANY DIFFERENT FROM A TYPICAL HOTEL EXPERIENCE?
Albany offers an exceptional range of luxury accommodations designed to suit every lifestyle and length of stay. WHERE IS THE MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE SPOT ON PROPERTY?
Albany is as visually stunning as it is luxurious. Every corner offers a beautiful photo opportunity, from the vibrant teal waters of The Bahamas, to panoramic views of the marina and championship golf course. One of our newest and most talked-about additions is the Equestrian Club, featuring a 20-stall barn. Guests are naturally drawn there—not just for its picturesque backdrop, but for the chance to connect with the beautiful horses that call Albany home. It’s all part of the elevated and unexpected experiences that make Albany so special. And it creates the perfect Instagram-able moment.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE DESIGN OF THE VILLAS AND RESIDENCES AT ALBANY?
At Albany, you’ll find a great variety of private homes in an array of styles — from custom estates to charming beachside villas and stunning marina residences with beautiful views of the water. Each home has its own unique design and character.
Our villas, which range from 3-to-7 bedrooms, take inspiration from traditional Bahamian architecture. Many come with spacious courtyards, private pools, and lush gardens—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
The marina residences offer something for everyone, with both modern and classic styles. They feature open floor plans and flexible bedroom setups, designed by some of the world’s top architects like Morris Adjmi, Gwathmey Siegel Kaufman, HKS, One Of A Kind Architects (OOAK), Squire and Partners and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG).
Albany’s custom homes, the most expansive type of residences on property, blend modern and traditional designs and often include amazing features like large media rooms, separate staff housing, indoor-outdoor living spaces, courtyard pools, private gardens, and summer kitchens.

WHICH ARE YOUR 2 FAVORITE RESTAURANTS AND WHY?
Throughout Albany’s beautiful 600-acre community, you’ll find approximately 10 restaurants and cafes—some open year-round, others available seasonally—so there’s always something tasty nearby.
One standout is Vesper, located on the second floor of the historic Albany House, serving a delicious menu of Asian-inspired dishes like sushi, sashimi, ramen bowls, and grilled favorites. Plus, the views from up there are absolutely stunning, overlooking the South Ocean. And if you’re into wine or cocktails, their selection really completes the experience.
For lunch, I love either NINETEEN Grille at the golf course or Footprints restaurant. Both have lovely outdoor terraces where you can soak in the scenery. At NINETEEN, you can take in views of the 18th and 9th holes, which is pretty special. And if I’m with my nephews, Footprints is our go-to. I can relax with a bite and a drink while they have a blast swimming in the Family Pool and sliding down the rock slides.

LET’S TALK GOLF. CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE FACILITIES AND TOURNAMENTS?
The 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Ernie Els, offers the perfect mix of links-style and desert features, making it a truly unique place to play. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned golfer, you’ll love the variety of practice facilities available to help improve your game.
The golf facilities offer a 400-yard double-end driving range, several short-game practice areas, and the Performance Shed, where you can experience custom fittings with True Spec Golf and cutting-edge TrackMan technology. Simply put, Albany is a golfer’s dream come true.
The clubhouse is more than just a place to grab your clubs—it also has a Golf Shop stocked with top apparel and gear, a grill room, a movie theater, and a full schedule of group and private clinics taught by our team of golf professionals.
Throughout the year, Albany hosts a variety of member and member-guest tournaments—from big events like the NEXUS Team Championship, Albany Invitational, and the Club Championships, to fun seasonal matches like Night Golf and Get Tough Day.
Since 2015, Albany has been home to the Tiger Woods-hosted Hero World Challenge, a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event featuring 20 of the world’s top-ranked golfers based on Official World Golf Rankings.

WHAT ARE THE MOST-LOVED FACILITIES AND PROGRAMMING FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS?
The community was designed to be fun and engaging for the whole family, with plenty of kids’ amenities leading the way.
There are seasonal camps and lots of aquatic fun, including the rock slides, a family pool, and the Treasure Island water park. The world-class Sports Pavilion features everything from pickleball and beach volleyball to an outdoor baseball batting cage, a sports field and soccer pitch, and even an NBA-regulation basketball court. Plus, there’s a kids’ playground, an indoor trampoline park, and an e-gaming room for some extra excitement.
Tutoring and babysitting services are also available along with themed birthday parties to celebrate in style. And for young athletes, there are weekly golf and racquet lessons and clinics to keep them active and having fun.
Albany really is a place where the whole family can relax, play, and create wonderful memories together.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF AT THE RESORT?
Our staff and culture. They are everything that Albany is today and will continue to be in the future. Every experience, every moment, every highlight while visiting Albany’s luxury resort community is possible because of all the hard work and dedication to our resort guests and what they take away from their time here. We have created a culture where our staff can thrive both at work and at home, which is a pretty cool environment for anyone to be a part of every day.
