ON THE LINE | The Lineup Dinner Series


ON THE LINE is a project from the team behind The Lineup dinner series, founded by Elena Besser, which highlights top cooks working the line at the best restaurants in America by giving them the opportunity to act as executive chef for the night. 

ON THE LINE features original recipes from the cooks who have poured their hearts and souls into highly acclaimed restaurants across the country.  These cooks have shared a combined 30+ original recipes (small plates, entrées, desserts and cocktails) inspired by what they are making at home and the restaurants where they have worked. Recipes include Sweet Potato Chicken Curry from Calvin Eng of Win Son; Crispy Rice with Egg and Romesco Sauce from Christina Garrupo of Estela; Pork Milanese with Cucumbers and Yogurt from Tyler Kenny of Hart’s; Spring Peas with Ricotta and Herbs on Grilled Bread from Aaron Diener of Lilia; Asparagus with Brown Butter, Parsley, Capers and Lemon from Samuel Prieto of Republique; Dry-Aged Duck Breast with Vegetable Curry and Jasmine Rice from Nicholas Moulinos of Kith/Kin; Honey Roll Cake with Sesame and Walnuts from Esther Ha of Momofuku Ko.

ON THE LINE is available for pre-order ($15) and the book will be released digitally, along with a limited number of print editions, for distribution in Summer 2020. All proceeds from the project will benefit participating cooks, the true authors of this project, and select restaurant relief funds nationwide, including The LEE Initiative’s Restaurant Workers Relief Program.
