FLEMINGS HOTEL MAYFAIR

Contributor — Four Hundred by Design

Tucked away on a quiet Mayfair street just moments from Piccadilly, Flemings Mayfair is one of London’s most historic and distinguished boutique hotels. Blending Georgian heritage with contemporary elegance, this privately owned gem offers refined hospitality, award-winning dining, and timeless style in one of the city’s most prestigious neighborhoods.

Flemings is located on a peaceful residential street just off Piccadilly, in the heart of Mayfair. Established in 1851, it is one of the capital’s oldest hotels and among the few remaining privately owned properties in London—still cared for by the same family for over forty years.

The hotel is composed of thirteen interconnecting Georgian townhouses, giving it an authentic sense of character and charm. While the interiors have been updated with a modern aesthetic, the design feels like an evolution rather than a reinvention, preserving the warmth and grace of its heritage.

The hotel’s flagship restaurant, Ormer Mayfair, showcases the exquisite cuisine of Chef Sofian Msetfi and proudly holds a MICHELIN Star. For lighter fare, guests can retreat to The Drawing Room, a refined yet relaxed space serving a selection of beverages—both spirited and soft—as well as daily afternoon tea in partnership with the East India Tea Company.

Perfectly situated between Hyde Park and Green Park, and within walking distance of the West End, Flemings places guests at the very heart of London life. From world-class shopping and theatre to tranquil park walks, the best the city has to offer is right on the doorstep.
