EVERYTHING WORTH EATING, BOOKING, BUYING, AND KNOWING OUT EAST
Contributor - Lindsey Friel | Lifestyle Consultant • 6/25/26
The anticipated great migration east has officially begun along Montauk Highway, and while the City is having an undeniable blue-and-orange moment, one cannot deny that eagerly anticipated yet blissful journey. To blame is the irresistible charmingly posh whim in the air that never gets old…among the fabulous restaurants, motley markets, quaint shopping, intimate wellness, and seemingly perfect beaches.
Here, a considered list of the excitingly new and constantly notable spots we are booking, eating, and shopping.
DINING
Alba Spaggio | Montauk
While Montauk may be branded as the end of the world, Alba Spaggio manages to bring a little Italian sense to the doom party. They do it brilliantly, pairing colorful coastal Italian cooking with playful plates, breezy seaside tablescapes, and a laid-back atmosphere that feels distinctly Montauk.
Short order: Focaccia Della Casa, Fusilli Pesto, and Striped Bass.
Chelsea Living Room at Dune Lounge | Montauk
Not that Gurney’s needed more ante, but Chelsea Living Room is bringing their uncanny New York swankiness to the beach. The result is a high-end lounge experience with a jazzy caviar cart, uniquely serious martinis, and upscale classics that just taste better with an ocean view.
Short order: Live music starting in July.
Lion’s Nook Bar and Grill | East Hampton
An antidote to some of the more pretentious spots that, admittedly, are fantastic but occasionally call for a breath of fresh air. It’s a style of Hamptons dining that cuts back to the roots of what we all love and crave: a pub-style place welcoming intimate camaraderie.
Short order: A speedy opening—we're excited.
Crazy Pizza East Hampton | East Hampton
Heidi Klum’s smitten spot that twirls airborne pies and brings high energy is officially out East. It’s a perfect spot for the family where the kids and parents alike can ogle…it’s hard not to be impressed and have a good time here. It’s all part of the wonderful spectacle.
Short order: A Sunday Italian dinner, reimagined?
MARKETS
Loaves & Fishes | Sagaponack
A charming, unassuming white house with an unmistakable blue sign marks one of our favorite outposts out East. From the prepared goods to the pre-packaged goodies, it’s hard not to fall in love with the offerings here. A dangerous stop before a dinner party, but an excellent one.
Sagaponack General Store | Sagaponack
Few places feel genuine enough to capture the essence of what makes the Hamptons the magical little place we all fall in love with time and time again. Not that we need the reminder, but a quick trip here scratches that dreamy, rural, luxurious itch. From the frozen yogurt to the candy bar to the packaged goods, no trip is complete without a full basket. They make it quite easy.
Amber Waves Farm, Market & Cafe | Amagansett
A quintessential stop-off before the journey to Montauk. It’s everything a farmstand strives to be from their fresh produce to baked goods. You have to wonder what they put in their water to make it all just so irresistible.
SHOPPING
Il Buco Vita | East Hampton
Il Buco is a legendary trattoria so when they open a “pantry next door” you know it will deliver. The inventory is curious, cheeky, and rustic. Little treasures, from packaged goods to homey sets and linens, that feel true to form while still managing to surprise. Be sure to not miss the coffee stop in the front with fresh pastries.
Kith Women x Vivrelle | Bridgehampton
Kith is opening a Bridgehampton outpost for the summer season with special activations in partnership with Vivrelle. All in Kith’s true sense of fashion: think Christian Dior, Miu Miu, Prada and more.
Violet Grey | East Hampton
A welcome new opening to the East Hampton scene, with an artistic focus on beauty and cosmetics. Expect brands like CHANEL, Victoria Beckham Beauty, Biologique Recherche, Valmont and U Beauty to line their perfectly styled and posh shelves
Coniglio Palm Beach | East Hampton
The newly opened East Hampton studio brings Palm Beach-inspired treasury out East. With colorful silhouettes and perfectly mismatched sets, it’s a needed reprieve to over-saturated minimalism. Some brands are just very cool. This is one of them.
WYETH | Sagaponack
A Hamptons shopping round-up feels bleak without at least one mention of antiquing. Albeit cliché, WYETH feels more like a portal to a time of simpler forms. The space is nothing short of incredible, filled with curiosities and unexpected oddities.
WELLNESS
Claudia Matles Pilates | Mobile
Our go-to for at-home pilates and yoga. Claudia brings her own holistic practice to the world of wellness. Her sessions are personalized and calibrated to you and yours. She is a rockstar in this world and it shows in her practice.
KZ Pilates+ | East Hampton
The opening of their Beach House brings their well-loved pilates practice to East Hampton. A cult favorite here in the City, KZ honors the traditional practice and leans into the tried and true. The space itself feels calm and the perfect accessory to the Hamptons’ favorite workout.
Shou Sugi Ban Spa | Water Mill
An ode to Japanese and Scandinavian design, Shou Sugi Ban Spa is one of our favorites for a reset out East. It feels distinct enough that a visit is well worth it, from the treatments to the amenities. A true testament to the power of yin and yang.

Originally from Pennsylvania, studied hospitality at Boston University but learned the most by wandering through the nooks and crannies of the industry itself. I spent time writing for small publications, highlighting lifestyle and hospitality through storytelling — my favorite medium. Admittedly, my love of the field has grown into an insatiable curiosity: always chasing the newest and coolest, the biggest and smallest, the in-betweens and overlooked. Now based in New York City, I remain enamored with the endless ways people gather, connect, and create experiences that stay with you long after you leave.
