REFINED DINING AT THE SAVOY
Contributor — Four Hundred by Design
The Savoy's food and beverage offerings span several of the hotel's most well-known dining venues, each showcasing a different aspect of its culinary heritage. From breakfast and the hotel's signature afternoon tea at Gallery to historic cocktails at the American Bar and freshly baked scones at Scoff, the collection highlights a range of experiences rooted in British tradition and the hotel's longstanding history.
Situated in the heart of The Savoy, Gallery serves breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening tea beneath its stained-glass dome.
Breakfast features a selection of traditional and contemporary dishes, including a full English breakfast prepared with free-range eggs, the hotel's signature Omelette Arnold Bennett topped with lobster and caviar, and classic pancakes with blueberries.
AFTERNOON TEA
Following breakfast service, Gallery transitions into the setting for The Savoy's signature Afternoon Tea. Created by Executive Chef Gerald Quadros and Executive Pastry Chef Nicolas Houchet, the seasonal menu features traditional finger sandwiches, savoury bites, handcrafted pastries, and the hotel's signature scones served with Cornish clotted cream, strawberry jam, and lemon curd. Live piano music accompanies the experience.
Alongside the traditional Afternoon Tea, Gallery offers several alternative menus, including High Tea, which features an additional hot course, and Prestige Afternoon Tea, which includes a lobster and caviar course paired with Laurent-Perrier Héritage Champagne. Vegetarian, plant-based, and children's menus are also available.
TWILIGHT TEA
As evening arrives, Gallery transitions to Twilight Tea, an after-hours interpretation of the traditional afternoon tea experience. The menu includes savoury and sweet selections served alongside a signature Berry Royale cocktail.
AMERICAN BAR
The Savoy is also home to the American Bar, one of London's longest-standing cocktail bars. Throughout its history, the bar has welcomed notable bartenders, including Ada Coleman, creator of the Hanky Panky cocktail, and has served distinguished guests such as Winston Churchill and Marilyn Monroe.
The cocktail menu draws inspiration from the hotel's history, with drinks referencing landmarks and individuals connected to The Savoy, including its historic red electric lift and longtime doorman, Tony Cortegaca.
SCOFF
Scoff is a dining concept dedicated to freshly baked scones. Led by Executive Pastry Chef Nicolas Houchet and his team, the menu features a rotating selection of handcrafted sweet and savoury scones prepared daily.
Available for both takeaway and dine-in, Scoff presents a contemporary interpretation of one of Britain's best-known teatime traditions while reflecting The Savoy's longstanding association with afternoon tea.
